First Lady Melania Trump has begun speaking. The speech is televised so pool reports will be kept to a minimum. The speech is taking place in a hangar on the airfield filled with mostly air-qualified Army service members in maroon berets, and a few elite Green Berets.
President Trump and the First Lady disembarked at 1:26 p.m. They were greeted on the ground at Pope Army Airfield by LTG Gregory Anderson and Luzane Anderson, according to the White House.
