Trump confirms that this is his final rally after a month on the road. “I’m closing it down tonight,” Trump said. “This is it.”

“We have traveled far and wide — I’ve loved it,” he added.

Later, he said again: “We’re shutting it down tonight, can you believe it?” he said. "We’re making it the last but the best."

There are a number of young children in the crowd tonight, including a squirming baby cradled in its parents’ arms.

Trump spoke at length about Republican Senator Roger Marshall during his remarks, calling him a friend and crediting him as one of the most effective senators in Washington. He said Marshall’s Democratic opponent, pastor Adam Hamilton, had given him pause at first.

“You know, when I looked, I said, ‘Oh man, I hate to go against somebody of faith’,” Trump said, adding that Marshall “didn't want to go there because he's a good man.”

He added: “He would be a disaster, and he'll go against guns,” Trump said of Hamilton. “He'll go against every single thing that we all stand for.”

He offered a defense of Marshall over his debt collection and billing practices while a doctor, which he said was handled by a third party. “Just like everything else, the Democrats are trying to blame him, and he's too fine a man,” Trump said. “That's why I wanted to come tonight. I didn’t need this. My voice says — you know, when God made vocal cords, he didn't make them to do 30 rallies.”

Later, he called Hamilton “possibly perverted” and asked voters to check their 401ks before voting against Marshall.

Trump called again on Ilhan Omar to “immediately” resign from Congress “because she has a fake name.”

Trump spotted Mr. Wall in the crowd, saying he wanted to wear the man's suit, but “it can't be for this particular group because, Mr. Senator, I'm closing the sucker down." "I'm getting out of here," he said. "I’ve got to get to sleep. I’ve done too many of these.”

At one point, Trump quipped that the rally was over and attendees began streaming out. Some doubled back after he said he was joking.
