POTUS took questions twice— I will send those in my next note shortly. The pool was present for POTUS’s remarks for just over 21 minutes, touting the ballroom, DC beautification projects, and his love of construction.
Interior Secretary Doug Burgum along with the contractor for the construction company working on the ballot Jared Oldroyd each delivered brief remarks.
The president walked over to sign his name on the beam, which is the last one to be installed on the ballroom. Other construction workers had signed the beam, which was adorned with a small Christmas tree and an American flag.
After your pool was shuffled around to make way for the beam to be lifted, POTUS came over to take questions.
POTUS stepped then back to watch the final beam in the White House ballroom installed.
After the beam was lifted, the president came back to take more questions, now sporting his white, U.S. hat.
POTUS then asked pool if they wanted to see the helipad and went over to speak with construction workers. Your pooler did not lay eyes on POTUS leaving before we were escorted out of the construction site .
