Vice President JD Vance Meets with Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin

VATICAN CITY - Today, during Holy Week, Vice President JD Vance met with Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin. The Vice President and Cardinal Parolin discussed their shared religious faith, Catholicism in the United States, the plight of persecuted Christian communities around the world, and President Trump's commitment to restoring world peace.

Vice President Vance and the Second Family attended a Good Friday service yesterday at St. Peter’s Basilica. He was baptized into the Catholic Church in August 2019.
