Travel pool report #6 — Service color

Now that we're past the flurry of dignitary arrivals, some additional color:

It is a beautiful day here in Vatican City. The sun is shining brightly down on St. Peter's Square. There are some clouds on the horizon to our right, but not a cloud in sight overhead and in pool's view, which is looking directly down at POTUS from a balcony. The sea gulls have settled down but were chirping overhead for quite a bit.

Most of the service is in Latin, but we had a brief reading from the book of Acts, in English: “Truly, I understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him & To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.”

Pool has inquired about the reports of a meeting between POTUS and Zelenskyy but no details from the White House side yet.
