travel report 9 — arrival at rally site

The presidential motorcade arrived at Macomb Sports and Expo Center at 1720, completing the 11 mile trip in 28 minutes.
Most of the drive was on southbound I-94, which was closed off to other traffic. As we got back on surface streets near the event, there occasional onlookers, but very few compared to normal events.
A handful of protesters were assembled at the entrance to the community college, one holding a sign declaring Trump a “FAILURE.”
