In-town note #2 -- Oval event underway

Pool entered the Oval Office at 1:40 pm.

President Trump was joined in the Oval by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and Washington Commanders owner Josh Harris and D.C. Mayor Bowser, among other officials.

In opening remarks Trump announced that Washington, D.C. will host the 2027 NFL Draft.

"It's a very important announcement," Trump said.

"It's going to be beautiful," Trump said of the draft.

This event is being live-streamed by the White House.
