Toward the end of the receiving line another notable: Gianni Infantino, the president of FIFA, which brought the World Cup to Qatar in 2022 and awarded it to the United States for 2026.

The receiving line ended at 9:16pm, nearly an hour after it began.

“Thank you very much everybody,” POTUS said to the pool from the other side of the room, before leaving.
