In-town pool note 1: good morning + loud noises + EO's

Good morning from the White House. The 1 pm EO's are still closed press, but quite possibly could switch to open press. Stay tuned.

Meanwhile, we in the West Wing are being serenaded by loud drilling, banging, and jackhammering. Some of us went to take a peek outside, from the ramp toward upper press: A platoon of workers are redoing the plaster wall along the colonnade off the Rose Garden.
