Pool Report #5: Netanyahu spray//Q and A part 1

The spray with the Israeli PM began at roughly 7:23 pm. POTUS thanked the PM and his wife for visiting in brief remarks. Then Netanyahu spoke and gave him a letter he says he sent to the Nobel committee.

The first q to Trump was on Texas. He reiterated he would trying to go on Friday.

He was asked about a security incident that could derail a potential ceasefire deal. He directed the question to Witkoff, who said he didn't expect it would

On tariffs he said they are "final but if they call with a different offer"...

"I would say firm but not 100 percent firm."

Asked about his earlier plan to relocate Palestinians he directed the question to the PM.

Netanyahu said that Trump supported "free choice" and Israel was working with the US to find other countries for displaced Palestinians to live in.

The president said talks with Iran would be taking place but declined to provide details.

In response to a question about a ceasefire with Hamas, he said there wasn't a holdup -- and then talked about the ceasefire with Iran, after asking for a repeat of the question. (Suggesting he was referring to the ceasefire that's already in place with Iran.)

He also redirected a question on whether there can be a two-state solution to Netanyahu, who repeated past comments about Israel making peace with its neighbors without directly addressing the question.

Asked about Zohran Mamdani, the president said:

"He'll behave. He better behave or he's going to have lots of problems."

On Ukraine he said would be sending more defensive weapons.

"We're going to send some more weapons. They have to be able to defend themselves," he said.
