Asked if Trump would fire Fed Chair Jerome Powell, he said he’ll be out soon anyway and repeated that he calls him “too late” on lowering interest rates.
“We should be at 1 percent. We should be leading the world.”
Scott Bessent adds he asked the fed to do an internal investigation on “mission creep” and the Fed needs to “stay in their lane.”
