In-town pool report #13: Trump remarks and some color

Each president began with remarks, repeating much of what they said in the Oval Office earlier today.

Members of both delegations are seated in the East Room directly in front of the presidents.

National Security Adviser Michael Waltz and US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff are both in the East Room, as they were in the oval earlier. Vice President JD Vance is seated directly in front of President Trump during the press conference and Treasury Sec. Scott Bessent is also present.

The Biden administration "didn't think of a lot of things, like why did they let it start in the first place?" Trump said of the war in Ukraine.

"I want to bring peace, not war."
