It was the Oval Office in three acts today. Act one was the shortest -- the signing of a housing privacy bill,
Act Two was devoted to the renaming of the Defense Department restoring the pre-1947 name of Department of War. That was followed by a Q&A. which included jobs and the economy.
Act Three brought on a guest star, the mayor of Miami, to announce that Miami would be the host city for the G20 next year. That was followed by even more questions.
The curtain went up at 4:13 when the pool enter the Oval Office. It came down with our exit at 5:40,87 minutes later.
Not included in the earlier pool reports was a comment he made when talking about the elimination of crime in DC. In fact, he said, "I set up a dinner in Washington, DC next week."
That would be a first for the president in his two terms. The ony DC restaurant he dined at in his first term was the one at his hotel
