Background on Hatch Stamping Company - Howell, MI
-Hatch Stamping was founded in 1952 by brothers Raymond, Walter, and Joseph Hatch.
-Early on, the company provided resistor parts for other auto suppliers, and soon thereafter began providing high-volume parts to the U.S. Army, which used them to produce parts for M-1 rifles.
-Today, it's a leading manufacturer of engineered metal stampings and assemblies for the automotive industry. Ninety-five percent of all vehicles manufactured in North America today contain a part from Hatch.
-Across its 13 locations, it employs over 1,000 workers. This factory is host to welding operations, plus stamping, tool and die, and engineering services.
-Hatch is closely integrated with the surrounding community, including regional colleges and high schools, and participates in job fairs, state training, and internships. It also supports robotics teams and apprenticeship programs.
