One of the presidential helicopters landed at Stansted at 5:36 pm. It wasn’t immediately clear why there was a delay.
At 5:39, Susie Wiles walked off the helicopter with Ambassador Stephens, followed by POTUS and FLOTUS holding hands. POTUS smiled and greeted someone near the front stairs to AF1. Then he said goodbye to the ambassador, before climbing aboard the plane at 5:41 pm. He stopped to wave and point to reporters.
