At approximately 1010 your pooler and others noticed VP Vance in the briefing room giving a tour to an unidentified senior citizen who briefly stood behind the press secretary’s lectern.
He noted that the room is smaller than it looks on TV and asked her what she thought of the shutdown and she replied: “I can’t say it here, not in this crowd.”
VPOTUS and entourage then left the briefing room. He did not answer any questions despite efforts to engage him by reporters who were present.
