President Trump started off signing documents recognizing days in honor Leif Erikson and Christopher Columbus.
Trump then turned to the Gaza deal, saying he expects hostages to be released Monday or Tuesday.
He said he was "going to try to make a trip" to Egypt to attend an official peace deal signing.
Trump said he believes wealthy Arab countries will be "stepping up" to fund the rebuilding of Gaza.
