Family photo at 7pm local with all the world leaders.
During individual photos, the President took some brief moments to chat with all the world leaders. Those he knew well, he greeted warmly. The line of leaders and staff snaking around the room was a striking sight. (Photos attached).
A few notable moments:
Shouts “peace, peace” at the President of Azerbaijan. Says “he’s a very peaceful guy.”
Very long handshake with Macron eliciting some laughs in the room.
Another long handshake with the President of Armenia, heard POTUS tell him something about "peace."
Very warm greeting with UK's Starmer, and Italy's
Meloni.
