Hi -- this is Mario Parker, your print pooler for Vice President JD Vance's trip to San Diego and Camp Pendleton for America's Marines250 event on Saturday.
Marine 2 landed at JBA at 4:54pm EST on Friday evening. Vice President Vance was joined by Second Lady Usha Vance and their three young children. The second lady wore a sweater, adorned with the American flag. Their two eldest children sprinted aboard AF2 while the Vice President carried their youngest aboard the plane. He gave a wave to the press, who had asked him to come over for a couple questions. They were all boarded by 5:01pm.
It’s a roughly five-hour flight from JBA to Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, roughly 15 miles north of San Diego, California. We will be wheels up shortly.
