The President stopped by the pool and said about PM Takaichi: "She is going to go down as one of the great Prime Ministers"

Pool was then led to an open elevator and taken to the deck where POTUS will deliver remarks.

Hundreds of sailors are waiting for him, massed around a podium.

A huge sign with the words "Peace through strength" serves as backdrop, flanked by a big US flag and a big Japanese flag. Two F-18s are also positioned behind the stage.
