Heads up: Gaggle incoming once we are airborne, per Karoline Leavitt.
M1 landed at Haneda at 9:32 am.
Chief of staff Susie Wiles, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and George Glass, the US ambassador to Japan, disembarked first.
POTUS did not stop for questions after emerging from M1.
He climbed up the stairs, turned around, gave a wave, pumped his fist and mouthed “thank you” before boarding AF1 at 9:39 am.
AF1 is taxiing at 9:44 and bound for Gyeongju, South Korea, shortly. POTUS is going to gaggle shortly.
Before we took off, Karoline Leavitt passed out copies of newspapers displaying what she said was “tremendous” coverage of the trip, and said the president wanted us to see. Your pooler was handed a copy of The Financial Times.
