In Town Pool Report #4 Syrian President Greets Supporters

As he was leaving the White House just before 1:20 PM, President al-Shara of Syria exited his motorcade just in front of the White House and briefly greeted a cheering crowd of supporters gathered on the Lafayette Park side of Pennsylvania Avenue. Some waved Syrian flags. The Syrian president was flanked by security and occasionally obscured by a black SUV following him as he walked along the fence separating him from the supporters.

We don't yet have a readout on President al-Shara's meeting with President Trump.
