report 1 - checking in

Good morning from the White House, where today the president has two public events on his schedule that pool will be covering:

1. A signing of a peace agreement between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo that President Trump says has ended decades of fighting. This will take place at the United States Institute of Peace, a congressionally created entity that Trump's State Department announced it has renamed to honor Trump.

1. The lighting of the National Christmas Tree on the Ellipse.

If anything else springs up, pool will alert you ASAP.
