VP travel pool report #1 — wheels up

Good morning from JBA! I will be your pooler for the vice president's trip to Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he's expected to speak about affordability.

M2 landed at JBA at 9:35 and VPOTUS and SLOTUS walked off. The VP spoke briefly to the pool. As always, please check quotes against the official transcript:

"We're gonna talk about all the things we're trying to do to lower prices to make life more affordable for American families," Vance said. "We know people suffered a lot under the policies of the Biden administration. We're working very hard to correct those problems. I think we've made a lot of progress over the past 10 months but of course there's a lot more progress to be made."

He said he would take questions after the event and boarded AF2 at 9:40.

The vice president is traveling with Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer and Rep. Ryan MacKenzie, according to OVP.

Consider this your wheels up notice! Next stop Lehigh Valley International Airport.
