President Trump added that today’s EO, “is not the legalization — does it legalize marijuana in any way, shape or form, and no way sanctions its use as a recreational drug.”

The president said he asking Congress to reconsider the classification of hemp derived CBD, “to ensure seniors can access CBD products they have found beneficial for pain and other reasons.”

Dr. Oz spoke in support of the EO and said he’s going allow CMS to approve Medicare recipients to receive CBD “as early as April of next year, and at no charge if their doctors recommend.”

Physicians are now speaking in support.
