Pool is in the middle of the factory watching POTUS walk onto the factory floor. Workers are cheering. He’s taking some selfies with them.
Trucks in various states of production are on moving assembly lines all around us — including overhead.
The factory we’re in makes Ford F-150 trucks, a mix of gas and hybrid; also made here is the F-150 raptor (made for off road; all gas).
Ford spokespeople explained that POTUS is making two stops on the line. They said the following:
The president will stop at a station which is called the “body decker,” where the truck gets put together; another stop is where a team installs hose connections. At both stops he will hear from employees about their jobs.
He’ll be with Bill Ford, Ford’s executive chair (he is the great grandson of Henry Ford). And he’ll be with Jim Farley, president and CEO of Ford.
