Pool was led into a meeting room fairly full with business executives. At 6:40 pm, Trump was introduced by Larry Fink, who talked about having uncomfortable conversations — alluding it seems to Trump’s speech earlier — and how they can be the “first step toward understanding” and possible resolution.

Trump called out some audience members including

FIFA president Gianni Infantino.

Trump touted the U.S. economy and his first year back in office. He referred to the war in Ukraine and “I think we’re going to get it resolved.” He mentioned that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are at the forum.

He joked about Howard Lutnick and Scott Bessent being opposites but praised their work.

Trump raised his tariffs, noting some companies such as Apple and Toyota, are making investments in the U.S. Trump then noticed Tim Cook in the audience and gave him a shout-out.

He talked about efforts to reduce crime in cities, including Washington and Chicago before turning back to his audience and Fink. “He’s one of you — he’s one of the greats.”

Trump said his speech earlier had received great reviews.

Ended at 6:58 pm with hearty applause.
