The VP came out at 1:35 p.m. and spoke for about 10 minutes and then took questions. Standing behind him were 10 ICE, CBP and HSI officers.
He did not offer specifics about who he met with in the roundtable but said it included local law enforcement, business owners, ICE officers and some people with opposing views but it’s not clear who those people were. VP’s office has still not provided a list.
VP’s remarks were carried live. He finished at 2:08 p.m.
The VP motorcade began rolling back toward the Minneapolis airport at 2:12 p.m.
