In-town pool report No. 2 - Cabinet meeting start

Pool was allowed into the Cabinet Room at 11:39 a.m.

Prior to our arrival, we could hear applause coming from the meeting.

Trump opened the meeting discussing the new flags and gilded accents in the room.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem is in attendance along with the rest of the Cabinet.

Steve Witkoff is also here.

Karoline Leavitt is standing along the side of the room.

The president noted how "we had a situation take place" with Venezuela.

"And I just spoke to the President of Venezuela, informed, informed her that we're going to be opening up all commercial airspace over Venezuela," Trump also said, asking Sean Duffy to have it done by the end of the day.

Says they're getting "close" with the Democrats on averting a shutdown.
