On Petro meeting:

“We got along very well.”

Said he and Petro are working on counternarcotic efforts.

“We’re working on some other things too, including sanctions.”

“I thought he was terrific.”

Says Putin “kept his word” on pause during cold weather.

“It was Sunday to Sunday…he kept his word on that. It’s a lot. One week is…we’ll take anything because it’s really, really cold over there.”

On his comments calling for elections to be nationalized:

“I want to see elections be honest…look at some of the places that horrible corruption on elections, and the federal government should not allow that. The federal government should get involved.”

On search for Savannah Guthrie’s mother:

“I think it’s terrible.”

“Sure,” he said when asked if he would commit to sending more federal troops in the search effort.

“I’m going to call her later on. I think it’s a terrible thing. I always get along very good with Savannah. Very unusual situation.

Said he did not read the latest batch of Epstein files that were published by the Department of Justice:

On Elon Musk and Howard Lutnick being mentioned in the files: “You mentioned two names. I’m sure they’re fine. Otherwise it would have been major headlines.”

Reaction to Clinton Oversight Committee deposition dates:

“I think it’s a shame to be honest. I always liked him. Her? Yeah. She’s a very capable woman who’s better at debating than some of the other people, I’ll tell you that. She was smarter, smart woman.”

“I shouldn’t feel this way but I feel badly that they have to go through that.”
