VP pool report #1

Good evening from Joint Base Andrews. I will be your print pooler for the first stretch of Vice President JD Vance’s weeklong trip to the Winter Olympics in Milan, followed by stops in Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Traveling with the VP are Usha Vance and their children Ewan, (age 8) Vivek (age 5) and Mirabel (age 4)

Marine Two touched down at 7:42 p.m. Ewan and Vivek left Marine Two ahead of their parents and sister and jogged over to the plane and up the stairs.

The VP, wearing a blue bomber style jacket, did not stop to talk to press after leaving the helicopter. He waved at the top of the stairs and gave a thumbs up before he went inside AF2 at 7:48 p.m.

Here is our schedule for Thursday, all FPPO and in Milan time:

10:35AM expected arrival (pool coverage)

11:00AM Greeting with US Athletes (pool coverage)

4:30PM USA vs. CZE Women’s hockey prelim (closed to pool at this time)

8:00PM IOC Head of State Dinner (closed press)

AF2 is rolling and will be wheels up for Milan shortly.
