Good afternoon from Milan.
The second family is attending the men’s 5,000 meter speed skating event at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.
The motorcade left the hotel at 4:31pm and arrived at the Olympic venue at 4:53pm local.
Olympic medal-winning speed skater Apolo Ohno, who is part of the US delegation, traveled in the VP’s motorcade to the event.
The dates of the Vice President’s trips to Armenia and Azerbaijan are also now reportable. The Vice President will travel to Armenia Feb 9-10, and then Azerbaijan Feb 10-11, according to a Vance spokesperson. He will return to Washington on Wednesday evening.
Your pool doesn’t have additional reportable information about that leg of the trip at this time, but the Vice President’s office is referring us to the President’s previous post on social media announcing Vance would be traveling to Armenia and Azerbaijan “to build on our Peace efforts.”
