Greetings!
The First Lady arrived at 2:13 for the event being held at the Children's Inn at the NIH.
Lina, 11, a patient, greeted Mrs. Trump, handing her a bouquet of white roses. The First Lady is wearing a khaki colored dress, with matching heels and a rose-colored belt.
The room is decorated with hearts, with two long tables in the middle filled with craft supplies to make Valentines. There are five kids seated at each table.
The First Lady visited with kids at each table, making Valentine cards and boxes.
She asked the patients if they enjoy music, asking one of them if he likes to dance. He joked that he “has two left feet.”
The First Lady discussed briefly her initiative on AI, mentioning the “Take it Down Act.”
She was also asked if she plays any sports, telling them that she enjoys tennis.
One of the patients joked that she was a queen, saying that he “knows a queen when he sees one.”
The First Lady asked to be updated on the progress of some of the patients, telling them that she will be thinking of them.
