President Trump entered the East Room at 3:12p for remarks at a Black History Month reception in the East Room.
He noted that the White House ballroom will soon be built and remarked they will be able to accommodate “10 times” as many people.
The president said he wanted to pay his “highest respects” to the late civil rights leader, the Rev. Jesse Jackson.
“I knew him well long before becoming president,” Trump said.
