Pool report No. 5 — performance

Pool was led into the East Room at 8:56 pm for a violin performance and POTUS told the pool “Enjoy the show. You won’t even believe it.”

Then Rusanda Panfili played three songs. White House is trying to track down names but Panfili said the finale was the theme from “Pirates of the Caribbean.” POTUS and other guests gave her a standing ovation. During one song she was backed by a choir of singers. During the finale, other violinists entered, playing alongside her.

POTUS, at center table, leaned back in his chair to take in the performance.

POTUS offered thanks and praised members of the Marine Corps band.
