VP Pool Report #4 Van Orden remarks

Ahead of the vice president’s speech, Rep. Van Orden addressed the audience, which numbered a few hundred.

“We want legal immigration here,” he said. “We want to welcome people from around the world, but they must come here legally.”

He also spoke about eliminating tax on tips, rural healthcare, and being raised in “abject poverty by a single mother.”

Administrator Kelly Loeffler spoke about lower tax rates for small businesses, reducing taxes overall, and cleaning up fraud. “Democrats owe you an apology,” she said.

The stage is flanked by large navy banners reading “Lower Prices, Bigger Paychecks” on both sides of the podium, with an American flag behind it.

Attendees are seated in front of and beside the podium, with many wearing “Make America Great Again” hats and Trump shirts.

The vice president took the stage at 11:36 a.m. CT, and remarks are currently underway.
