On Iran, Vance said the war will ensure Iran doesn't develop nuclear weapons. In response to a question about his advice to President Trump on the war, Vance said:

"The president and I and the entire senior team are talking about the options" in the Situation Room, Vance said, but "it's important for the president of the United States to talk to his advisers without" those advisers "running their mouth."

Vance criticized North Carolina's Democratic Senate nominee Roy Cooper and Rep. Don Davis, the district's incumbent Democratic congressman seeking reelection.

Cooper "clearly cares way more for foreign countries than he does for the United States of America," Vance said. Davis "votes every single time with Nancy Pelosi.”

"Something has gone fundamentally wrong in that party," Vance said.

The VP touted the tax cuts in the One Big Beautiful Bill. He polled the audience on which policy they liked most: no taxes on Social Security, or “the biggest tax cuts for people making under 100k,” or that the U.S. “has gone to war against violent criminals.” (The audience seemed to applaud with equal enthusiasm for all three).

Vance also spoke in favor of the "Save America Act" and claimed undocumented immigrants vote in U.S. elections more frequently than “people appreciate.” He did not provide statistics.

“It happens way more often than people appreciate,” Vance said.

Vance took a few questions at the end of his remarks. Pool was ushered out of the venue when Vance ended his speech.
