In-town pool #1: No M1 departure

Good morning. Passing along for all of you planning how you'll spend this sunny spring day that there will not be a Marine One departure when the president leaves for Florida this afternoon. The White House says the South Lawn is not available for use due to set up for next week's state visit by King Charles and Queen Camilla.

White House advises that President Trump will be motorcading to Joint Base Andrews, and the out-of-town pool will cover it. Likewise, his return to the White House tomorrow will also be closed and covered by the out-of-town pool.

There are no current plans for open press events at the White House today, but I will let you know if the pool receives word about that changing!
