FLOTUS pool - FLOTUS and Queen event

The First Lady and the Queen entered the tennis court at 12:08 pm.
The event is about using technology in education, which is part of the First Lady’s platform.
On one side of the court students are wearing VR googles to look at landmarks in the UK - Snowdonia, Giant’s Causeway, Stonehenge, and the exterior of Buckingham Palace.
On the other side students are using Meta Quest glasses to look at American artifacts picked by FLOTUS to honor US-UK ties: a portrait of President John Adams, the first U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom;
World War II situation map prepared for President Franklin D. Roosevelt; a bronze bust of Prime Minister Winston Churchill; and Staffordshire ceramics reflecting early transatlantic cultural exchange.
The two started by speaking to the students at the artifacts.
They shook hands with the students and appeared to discuss the artifacts with them (it was hard to hear). FLOTUS encouraged one student to also try the VR glasses.
Mrs. Trump tried on a pair of the Meta glasses to look at the Churchill bust (note this is a bust from the White House collection and is not the bust in the Oval, which is on loan from the UK).
One boy asked the Queen “do you want to try these” - gesturing to his Meta glasses. She politely declined.
At end they did a group photo with the students - one where the students wore their various glasses and one where they did not.
FLOTUS was asked how she was doing after Saturday night: “Very well thank you.”
The First Lady and the Queen passed out a book by Michael Morpurgo - a British children’s author - to the kids.
They departed at 12:28 pm.
A tea service is set up at one end of the court. A two piece band played various tunes including “Let it Go” and “isn’t she lovely.”
