POTUS, FLOTUS, King Charles and Queen Camilla entered the East room to "hail to the chief" and applause at 8:43 pm.
Trump said it was a "great honor" to host the King and Queen and congratulated him on a "fantastic speech."
"He got the Democrats to stand. I've never been able to do that," Trump said to applause. He praised "a friendship unlike any other on Earth" between the two countries.
Trump recounted US history and said they would never let a "particular opponent" in the Middle East get a nuclear weapon.
He offered a toast to 250 years of American freedom and "a great man," King Charles.
