President Trump took several questions during his event with Artemis II astronauts.

Putin call: Trump said he spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin today and the two talked about the Ukraine war and “a little bit about Iran.”

“I think we’re going to come up with a solution relatively quickly,” Trump said of Iran, adding that he and Putin had “a very good conversation.”

On Putin’s involvement with Iran – “He told me he’d like to be involved with the enrichment if he can help us get it. I said I’d much rather have you be involved with ending the war in Ukraine. To me, that would be more important.”

Added that Putin may announce “a little bit of a ceasefire.”

“I asked him about that. Even if it’s a little bit of a ceasefire, there’s so many people being killed. It’s ridiculous.”

SCOTUS ruling: The president appeared unaware of the Supreme Court’s ruling today scaling back the Voting Rights Act.

When asked if some states should redraw their maps based off this ruling, Trump says “I would.”

“Some states don’t need to redraw and some do… I would say generally, I would think that they would want to do it.”

Comey indictment: “Comey is a dirty guy. He’s a very dirty guy. He cheated on the elections. He tried to help Hillary Clinton.”

Iran blockade: Asked if another round of strikes is necessary in addition to the blockade, Trump said “I don’t know. We have talks.”

“They’ve come a long way. The question is whether or not they’re going to go far enough. So at this moment, there will never be a deal unless they agree there will be no nuclear weapons.”
