In-town pool report #3: South lawn royal departure

POTUS and FLOTUS emerged from South portico at 10:51 am, embassy limo pulled up at 10:52, King and Queen emerged from car, were greeted by POTUS and FLOTUS. They posed for photos for a few moments.

POTUS pointed at King Charles and said “he’s a great king”

Reporter asked the King what was your favorite part of the trip. He didn’t answer.

Same question to POTUS. He said “We’ll talk later.”

The couples turned and entered WH together at 10:53.

The central ground floor doors are flanked by American and British flags, with a T-shaped carpet emanating toward the South Lawn.

It’s a beautiful, breezy spring day, 61 degrees F.

Today, First Lady Melania Trump is wearing a charcoal gray wool pantsuit from Dior with black patent leather pumps from Roger Vivier.
