In-town pool report #6: Reflecting pool

POTUS emerged from the Beast at the Reflecting Pool at 7:27 with Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin, and Boarder Czar Tom Homan.

POTUS spoke for 27 minutes, including questions from the pool.

He spoke in front of a few men with hard hats on and roughly 20 construction workers behind, including one in a Make America Great Again Hat. The construction workers told POTUS. they were all from Oklahoma.

He touted the construction on the Reflecting Pool, which has been paved over. He also talked about the new arch going up, and noted crime was going down in DC.

On Iran: He spoke about the strikes today, said the U.S. “knocked the hell out of them”

Said a deal with Iran “might not happen, but it could happen any day. I believe they want the deal more than I do.”

Said the ceasefire is still in place despite the strikes: “Yeah, it is. They trifled with us today. We blew them away. They trifled. I call that a trifle. “

On China, he said the trip was still on for next week: “We're going to have a meeting with President Xi. It's going to be, I think, quite amazing. He's been a friend of mine. I got I've gotten along with him very well over the years.”

When asked about China’s imprisonment of Pastor Ezra Jin, POTUS said he would bring it up with Xi
