In-town pool report #8: Back at White House

The president’s motorcade arrived at the White House at 1:37 p.m. He walked inside the north entrance at 1:43 p.m. after lingering outside for several minutes, appearing to closely examine a column at the north portico.

He did not respond to your pooler shouting a question about the status of a deal with Iran.

On the ride back from the cemetery this time, three demonstrators stood inside the roundabout where the arch is due to be constructed, two holding “Stop arch insanity” posters and one with a poster reading, in part, “Honor the fallen.” The larger crowd of protesters remained at the other end of the bridge, despite the light rain.
