American Michael Chandler faced Brazilian Mauricio Ruffy in the third bout.
Military members present roared "USA! USA!"
"Let's go, Michael!" was shouted from various parts of the stands.
"For your country, Mike!" a man shouted. "Take his life, Mike!" another shouted from the opposite side of the arena.
There were loud groans as Ruffy gained the upper hand, ultimately punching Chandler as he staggered to his knees.
"Jesus saved my life... give your life to Jesus," Ruffy said in his victory message after seeming to console Chandler.
