Travel pool # 6 - More on bilat

Your pooler has asked whether President Trump joined the meeting with Macron and Zelensky which preceded the G7 group meeting.

President Trump, Macron and Zelensky were notably the last three to enter the room.

Bilat rundown below courtesy of Sarah Dean, who was able to be in the room. It is in reverse chronical order (most recent first)

Press was promptly escorted out of the working session as soon as the leaders took their seats.

Noting German Chancellor Merz presented Trump with a Germany World Cup jersey with Trump 47 on the back.

Sec. Rubio was seen entering the room and talking with Trump as we exited.

President Trump walked in at 9:47am local, followed by Macron. He is greeting the leaders and just walked to take his seat.

Zelenskyy walked in at 9:48am.

The other G7 leaders talked animatedly in a circle for a long time -- often laughing.

Merz checked his watch at 9:33am local. The leaders quieted down and split into two groups -- Merz, Carney and Starmer in one circle and Meloni, von der Leyen, Costa and Takaichi in another. Takaichi eventually went and joined Merz, Starmer and Carney, where she remains. Takaichi has a translator with her. All of the rest of the leaders are unaccompanied.

Costa walked out of the room at 9:42am local and walked back in at 9:46am.

Von der Leyen and Meloni remained locked in an individual conversation for a while.

Sec. Rubio walked into the room with staff and then walked back out at around 9:25am local.

Meloni and Costa joined Merz, Carney, Starmer, Takaichi, von der Leyen all animatedly talking and laughing in a circle as they await the other leaders. They remain there.

Shot now facing doors for arrival of Macron, Zelenskyy and Trump.

Leaders began arriving as we walked in. Merz, von der Leyen, Starmer, Takaichi and Carney are in here chatting. No Trump or Zelenskyy yet.
