At 9:55 PM, President Trump stepped out of the Beast and onto the outdoor plaza of the Palace of Versailles. President Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, were standing and waiting to greet the president.
The president greeted Brigitte Macron with a kiss on the cheek.
The three then walked to face the gathered photographers. Macron grabbed Trump’s hand at one point.
Trump waved at photographers, one of whom was shouting “lalalala” to get his attention.
The three walked up stairs to get to higher ground and pose for more photos. They then walked to the right to enter the palace.
Trump commented on how beautiful everything was before entering.
Trump was complimentary of both Macron and his wife.
“She’s an amazing women,” Trump told the press.
Macron appeared to try to hold Trump’s hand one more time as they walked in.
Macron patted Trump on the back as they went in.
They entered at 9:57.
