in-town pool report #7 — POTUS arrival/event starts

President Trump exited the parked “Bridge Air Force One” at 3:39 p.m. The usual Lee Greenwood tune played and Trump gave the crowd a couple first pumps.

POTUS remarks are expected to begin any moment. Your pooler is told the event will be broadcast and streamed live. Pooler will send any additional color and highlights from remarks. President Trump is slated to depart following his remarks for Camp David. Marine One and its decoy taxied to a stop outside this hangar before the pool entered. (Which was pretty cool.)

Fellow poolers spotted Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Dan Caine inside the immaculately clean hangar. The Air Force four-star is joined near the aircraft by other Air Force generals your pooler, a long-recovering defense reporter, does not recognize. Trump walked over to the generals and shook hands. Remarks staring soon.
