POTUS introduced a long list of VIPs here, many from coal states. He sang the praises of “clean, beautiful coal” and said the EO he’s signing will slash regulations on coal, expedite coal leases on federal lands and provide legal guarantees to prevent future administrations from reversing course.
On tariffs, he said they are bringing in almost $2 billion a day. Japan and South Korea are sending people to negotiate deals and more than 70 countries want to make a deal, he said. He suggested the challenge is finding the capacity to meet with all of them.
