The motorcade entered the WH grounds at 17th and E, then drove northward up to Pennsylvania and circled into the North Portico driveway. The president's vehicle went underneath the scaffolding covering the North Portico, with the protective fabric that has an image of the portico pulled back to allow entry.
Pool caught sight of POTUS getting out of his SUV at 4:04 p.m. and entering the White House.
As the motorcade drove through the WH grounds, your pooler noted that new, tall permanent fencing appears to be going up around the area around the First Infantry Division Monument, straight south of the EEOB. Some of the fencing is up. Gaps remain and construction appears in progress.
